A little more about me…

Hello, I'm Nadia—a creative professional skilled in blending beauty, organization, and functionality into exceptional designs. I have a background in education and a passion for graphic design. After earning my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Utah, I embarked on a fulfilling teaching career. I excelled in managing a classroom of 25-30 students daily, honing essential skills in patience, organization, and multitasking during my teaching career. As a parent, I further developed my time management and prioritization abilities, successfully balancing work, family, and personal life.

The challenges of the pandemic reinforced my resilience and adaptability, especially as I took on the role of homeschooling my daughter while managing household responsibilities. This experience instilled in me a robust problem-solving mindset, the ability to thrive under pressure and to always find the good in every situation no matter how challenging. 

In 2022, I decided to transition my artistic skills into a professional career. My choice to enroll at SLCC was deliberate, aiming to gain technical proficiency, especially in utilizing the Adobe Suite. Throughout my time there, I not only mastered digital and print design techniques but I also expanded my abilities as a physical artist.

My studies focused on various areas, including layout design, branding, logo creation, package design, and social media marketing. Drawing from my experience as an educator and parent, I applied my skills to effectively break down complex tasks, consistently meet deadlines, and navigate challenges successfully. Despite managing a busy household with a new puppy, I maintained a high level of commitment to my coursework.

In 2024, I graduated with high honors from SLCC, marking a significant achievement and reaching my goal. Now, I'm eager to set new goals, including mastering more keyboard shortcuts for efficiency, learning animation, enhancing file organization, and volunteering my design skills for nonprofits. Ultimately, my goal is to find a job I love, where I can thrive in a dynamic team of inspirational creatives, continuing to learn and grow.
